Awaken

Many centuries before Einstein developed this theory of relativity in 1905, shamans knew how to shift between energy and matter. I like to say that shamans learned how to dance on the equal sign in Einstein’s equation so they could be in the world of energy and the world of matter interchangeably.

People always ask me, “Alberto how can I learn to do this, how can I learn to dance on the equal sign?” My response to them is, “you are already shifting between matter and energy many times all day long!” So, the real question is how do we become aware we are shifting so that we can access information in the world of energy, of spirit, and return with the information needed to heal ourselves, our clients, and our world?

Remember that shamans seek healing because healing creates comprehensive conditions for wellness that are found in the realm of the energetic. Seeking a cure, on the other hand, is found in the realm of matter and is most often a fragmented and stop-gap approach to maladies of the body and of our world. So how do we get there?

One way is to bring awareness to the place between energy and matter by engaging in a breathing practice. Breathe in to the count of three and then hold your breath to the count of three before exhaling to the count of five. Repeat this breathing practice five times, focusing your attention on the times you are holding your breath. Repeat this practice until holding your breath to the count of three becomes familiar and you become aware of something beyond this threshold.

The holding your breath is called liminal space. Liminal space is the threshold between two realities, matter and energy. It is a realm of possibilities where time slows and spirit and matter do the exquisite dance of creation. Liminal space is where we experience the shift between energy and matter and cross the threshold to tap into the wisdom of creation and manifest miracles.

If your body is in fight or flight mode, keeping you stuck in fear and in the world of dense matter, you may find this breathing practice to be difficult.   You can, however, learn to reset your fight or flight mode.  Once you do, you will be able to enter liminal space, dance with the shamans of old, see possibilities you never saw before, and create from a different level.

Becoming a Mystical Shaman is learning to practice true alchemy between the world of spirit and matter to become Inspirit, one who inspires by exuding a liveliness and lightness of being and joyfully singing the song of life each day.  Ask yourself – What inspires you?  Who inspires you?  What miracles would you like to part of today for our world?
