Losing Weight While Having Fun!

the problem may simply be in the fact that the “usual” ways to lose weight are not enough interesting, fun and motivating to you personally. Just like with everything else in life, it’s essential that you find something that engages you both physically and mentally enough in regards to weight loss as well so that you can give it your best, enjoy the process and never lose sight of your goal.

Write everything down

This really may not seem as fun and exciting as it truly is. However, even if you’re not someone who usually tends to write things down, make an exception for your weight loss journey. Write absolutely everything down. This doesn’t only include keeping track of your weight and measurements or the things you eat daily (although this info is important and needs to be written down as well) but most importantly this includes all your thoughts and feelings during this process. This is a mental trick that allows you to understand yourself a lot better. It will also make the whole experience more fun and enjoyable since simple writing down will open the door for you to connect with your inner self.

Make your diet fun

It may sound like an impossible mission but you really can make your healthy meals as fun and tasty as other, not-so-healthy options. First, take the time to look up interesting recipes online. When you think you have just certain foods at your disposal, it may seem like you don’t have a lot of choice. But, there are tons of great meals you can prepare if you just take the time to browse the Web. Also, take the time to arrange your meals nicely. This too is a great mental trick that will make the food a lot more attractive to you, even if it’s not something you enjoy eating the most. You can also use fun apps to remind you to drink more water.

Add some extra motivation

If you tend to do your exercises in the morning or find it difficult to start your day with a change of lifestyle in mind, why not add some motivational messages to your alarm? Find quotes that inspire you the most and use them as a follow-up message to your alarm clock, or come up with your own motivational messages before you go to sleep if you know what kind of message would get you going in the mornings the best.

Choose the right set of exercises

You don’t need to do the same exercises everybody else does if they are not fun for you. There’s no need to miss out on the fun part of physical activity. You can engage in activities such as swimming, dancing, hiking, cycling, and so on, if this sounds like something that would interest you. If you don’t like crowds, you can work out at home with the help of YouTube videos. On the other hand, if you would benefit the most from socializing, train with a friend, or take up a team sport such as soccer. All you need to do is look into your local club, get functional soccer gear and enjoy the game while shedding the extra pounds.

Always keep your goal in mind. It can be really fun to think about different clothes and other changes you can confidently make a part of your own style once you feel confident with yourself as well. And remember, eating a cookie or skipping exercise sometimes doesn’t mean you’ve necessarily failed. You only fail when you give up and completely quit.
